Corporate Responsibility: Strategy and Implementation

The UN mandated UPEACE Centre for Executive and Professional Education is visiting London to deliver a workshop on corporate responsibility (CR). The course will give CR professionals practical knowledge that can be used for planning and implementing CR strategy as well as introducing other departments and stakeholders to CR issues. This year's course introduces two important core themes; Human Resourses and CR, and leadership. The course will be valuable for professionals at, or wishing to work at; blue chip companies, NGOs, UN agencies, consultancies and social enterprises with an interest in understanding leading practice in CR.

Course content:

Human Resources
How to engage staff. Strategic role of HR, and how CR can help in professional development and to motivate, retain and recruit.
Leadership in CR
Bringing values to the workplace and developing leadership skills.
CR branding and communications
Engaging and inspiring stakeholders, CR branding and the media. Internal communications and inspiring behavioural change.
CR strategy
From CR departments to integration into core strategy and beyond. Sphere of influence. Strategic partnerships and long-term sustainability.
Engaging NGOs / Partnership
Engaging NGOs and forming sustainable productive partnerships. Conflict and mutual benefit.
Social Enterprise
Successfully achieving the triple bottom line of social, environmental and economic goals.
UN Global Compact
Understanding and implementation
